Daughter Darling - 'Broken Bridge'

Album: Sweet Shadows

It's an old situation: I tend to connect deeply - almost merge, if that was possible - for a short overwhelmingly intense period, before feeling trapped and stifled, and the need to disconnect immediately and completely.

That hasn't happened in a long time - the urge to disconnect, I mean - but it now seems to be a habit, not a reflex or reaction.

Ani DiFranco - 'Joyful Girl' (Peace And Love Mix)

Album: The Jackal OST

In the shower, I thought: it's okay if I choose to deal with it by bringing it to the surface, even if only temporarily; what matters the most is that I do it in a responsible, clear-headed, and clean manner.

Perhaps like the way dance helps me control the physical, bod-mods will help me manage the emotional.

Pledge Drive - 'Sí Beag, Sí Mór'

Album: I Gave At The Office

An eventful day - by my standards, at least - with a realization that my newest escape route is via Stege, and the comforting knowledge that Alvina is there.

I can only hope every day is like today.

One Shot - 'Millenaire'

Album: Taxi 2 OST

Why do I never seem to have enough time for any one thing?

Somtimes, I wish I don't want more, don't want better; sometimes, I wish I knew my limits.

But, mostly, I wish I didn't.

Rebekah del Rio - 'Llorando'

Album: Mulholland Drive OST

When P and I decided we'd be best friends, we were eight. But we had to take a test which led to her transferring to a SAP school.

Those few months were the only time in my entire life I had a best friend; since then, I've never believed in best friends.

But I believe I need one now.

Johann Pachelbel - 'Canon & Gigue' (for 3 Violins & Continuo in D Major, T. 337 Canon)

Album: The Bells of St. Genevieve and Other Baroque Delights

S P E C V L V M. That's our project.

Not quite sure where we'll be going with it; but, hey, anywhere but here, right?

For the lifejacket: gratias tibi ago, malum-cheeked fishy bitch Muffin.

=)

D*Note - 'Iniquity Worker'

Album: Criminal Justice

Zenzi asked what font size is my 'B' (for boredom) today; I replied, "Forty."

Hers, she said, was sixty.

Still, I'm feeling mighty unmotivated.

Midnite - 'Hieroglyphics'

Album: Ras Mek Peace

09 f9 11 02 9d 74 e3 5b d8 41 56 c5 63 56 88 c0

Doing my (second) bit - if it were any use at all ...

Conclusion of the day (no relation to the above): there's always gotta be conflict; otherwise, 'civilization', as we know it, will collapse - empires already had.

Silk - 'Freak Me'

Album: Lose Control

I spent the day gorging on the aural equivalent of N.Y. cheesecake.

Yikes.

Is my brain mush yet? Is it dripping out from my ears? I don't know. I'm still gorging myself on the cheese ...

Dubstar - 'Stars'

Album: Disgraceful

Said I to my Dad: "What's that star called? It's particularly bright. Is it a planet?"

Replied Dad: "It could be a satellite. You never know these days ..."

No wonder my wishes don't come true. You mean I've been wishing on a bloody satellite all this while?!

Fuck.

Pussy Cat Dolls ft. Snoop Dogg - 'Buttons'

Album: Buttons

I blame Hege for my current choice of music (Fergie, PCD, etc.), and in my defense I can only say I am only listening to what she plays in class - though, to her credit, she hasn't yet included Backstreet Boys ("...they're so cute!") or Britney Spears.

On the other hand, I've more respect for the Pussy Cat Dolls now that I've learned they were originally a burlesque troupe.

... also, I'm in love with Shakira's hips.

Madonna - 'Erotica' (SEX Version)

Album: Erotica

Quote of the day, courtesy of Hege during warm-up stretches: "Don't touch yourself! You can touch yourself when you do the split, but not now!"

Try figuring that out without context.

(Heh heh heh!)

Blossom Dearie - 'Put On A Happy Face'

Album: Kissing Jessica Stein OST

I think one of the keys to my happiness must be solving logical problems.

Which is strange, because I'm mostly ... not logical.

Max Sedgley - 'Slowly'

Album: Slowly

Better late than never, they say (whoever they are).

But 'better' doesn't mean you won't wanna kick somebody's ass or bang someone's head against the wall ...

Like, for example, your own.
