I think it was the dinner I had - fish and chips, and a pavlova for dessert - that I dreamed what I had: back in Welly, school, Salamanca Road, responding to Alwyn's resigned "I've been here five years ..." with "I wish I were you ..."
Didn't want to wake, but I had to.
And I did.
