Pussy Cat Dolls ft. Snoop Dogg - 'Buttons'

Album: Buttons

I blame Hege for my current choice of music (Fergie, PCD, etc.), and in my defense I can only say I am only listening to what she plays in class - though, to her credit, she hasn't yet included Backstreet Boys ("...they're so cute!") or Britney Spears.

On the other hand, I've more respect for the Pussy Cat Dolls now that I've learned they were originally a burlesque troupe.

... also, I'm in love with Shakira's hips.

Madonna - 'Erotica' (SEX Version)

Album: Erotica

Quote of the day, courtesy of Hege during warm-up stretches: "Don't touch yourself! You can touch yourself when you do the split, but not now!"

Try figuring that out without context.

(Heh heh heh!)

Blossom Dearie - 'Put On A Happy Face'

Album: Kissing Jessica Stein OST

I think one of the keys to my happiness must be solving logical problems.

Which is strange, because I'm mostly ... not logical.

Max Sedgley - 'Slowly'

Album: Slowly

Better late than never, they say (whoever they are).

But 'better' doesn't mean you won't wanna kick somebody's ass or bang someone's head against the wall ...

Like, for example, your own.

eels - 'Somebody Loves You'

Album: Shootenanny
One more Saturday
All alone through the night
You’ve got to be sure
When you turn out that light
That it’s going to turn on again
You’ve got to be your good friend

Somebody loves you
And you’re gonna make it through

eels - 'Somebody Loves You'

Album: Shootenanny

This is one of those times, makes me wish I could ran back into your arms, makes me miss you so desperately I can't breathe for the vacuum in my body.

Makes me imagine taking a blade to my arms just so I could concentrate on an outside pain and not the ache inside.

I suppressed a breakdown on the bus by visualizing just that.

I will be my good friend; I'm gonna make it though.

Leisha Hailey & Katherine Moennig - 'Q & A Podcast, Part 2'

Lately, I've been plagued by the inability to differentiate between genders - girls who look like boys who look like girls, and boys who look like girls who look like boys.

Which is great - because, come on, I may be stupid, but even an idiot would know better than to base attraction on gender.

No?

Meena Kumari - 'Tukre Tukre'

Album: I Write, I Recite

(No idea what's happened to the somebody who loves you; no idea if you're gonna make it through ...)

I'm down, and there's no love to be found; need to find the playground in my mind.

Meena Kumari - 'Chand Tanha Hai'

Album: I Write, I Recite

Sometimes I wonder if the moon is lonely, since she never fits in with the stars or clouds in the sky.

A more - or less (depending on where you stand) - painful change needs to be made.

Skinny - 'Failure'

Album: The Weekend

Been sitting in front of my laptop these coupla days, hours at a stretch, trying to create that playlist of dance-y-trippy-chill-out tracks for Chih - to no bloody avail. Kept leaning towards the trip-hop and chill-out, and can't find enough faster-paced tracks to gel the Cory Lee and Sister Nancy songs to the mix.

Feeling too misanthropic to generate any enthusiasm for tonight's movie with Germ and Sherm.

Daughter Darling - 'Things Untold'

Album: Sweet Shadows

Weekdays are better: less energy and time to feel depressed and miserable, and wonder.

Cory Lee - 'Goodbye'

Album: What A Difference A Day Makes

You know, I seem to attract people who like attention - guess I make a pretty good audience.

Thing is, these people leave me drained and desperate for solitude.

Sarah McLachlan - 'Dirty Little Secret' (Thievery Corporation remix)

Album: Versions

I discovered a bruise on the right side of my left wrist.

Transglobal Underground - 'Khalghi Stomp' (Thievery Corporation remix)

Album: Versions

I got really irritated when I saw the woman with a pair of pierced lobes ... and a single stud in her right (outermost) helix.

For any written works, 'orphans' are a big no-no; the same goes for piercings.

It's just me being an idiot again, but I really can't stand it when I see an orphan helix-piercing in a pair of otherwise near-virgin ears (i.e. with only pierced lobes) - although a single stud anywhere on a pair of ears is fine.

Go figure.
