Dreams Come True - 'Love Love Love'

Album: 嵐が来る

Did that Pinoy girl who lives in the hostel down my block and with whom I take the same bus on most mornings smile at me tonight?

In any case, I know I smiled right at her.

=)

Yo La Tengo - 'Don't Have To Be So Sad'

Album: Summer Sun

The perfect combination for me would be to take up concurrently a dance, a music, and a language course. So many things, so little time.

I want to get a frivolous white blacklight ink. A spiral of stars, on the inside of my right wrist. This would be prolly the fourth or fifth week running I've been thinking about it. Someone told me not to ("... think about future jobs!"), someone said go to "Go for it!"

Living dangerously and living recklessly: what a thin line.

Jill Philips - 'It Could Happen To Us'

Album: Kissing Jessica Stein

Maybe I just need to find my Helen ...

Tabla Beat Science - 'Devotional'

Album: Tala Matrix

I realized that is what I want, watching Reggie (Regis?) and Sebastian very much enjoying themselves moonlighting at the Chihuly Lounge: getting paid for doing something I thoroughly enjoy.

Fisher - 'Missing'

Album: Uppers and Downers

The dream vacation of mine seems more and more like a memory.

Like it had taken place.

And I can remember most of the details like it happened yesterday - smells, colors, the air, tastes ...

Lullatone - 'Wake Up Wake Up'

Album: Little Songs About Raindrops

Office Manager's last day today.

Perhaps life will suck soon - too tired to bother or worry now ...

Later.

Echo & the Bunnymen - 'Lips Like Sugar'

Album: Echo & The Bunnymen

Every time I see something red and shiny, I get the urge to lick it.

Like, when we passed by a shiny red car, I told Office Manager I wanted to get down on my knees and lick it.

But now that I think about it, shiny red shoes look yummier.

Yuuuuummmmmyyyy.

Seaming To - 'Something Wicked This Way Comes'

Album: London Lounge

Promised myself, again, to another gathering that I realized only too late I won't be comfortable in.

I feel a vast intergalatical gap between me and them: is it because they're all married with children and I am not; or is it because -

The thing is, even if I'd been honest with them, would the gap be bridged?

Maybe it's time to live dangerously ...

Haruomi Hosono - 'Honey Moon'

Album: Crooning on Venus

Making playlists ... has become an obsession.

I can't believe the amount of music I have but haven't listened to!

Jamie Lidell ft. Jose Gonzales - 'Multiply (In A Minor Key)'

Album: Multiply Additions

There's this very, extremely, and utterly tedious task I've been given to do at work. So frustrated I feel like screaming and throttling someone, because I don't want to do it, but know I gotta.

I don't know why I can't seem to adjust to being an adult, having to work, and life in Singapore.

I really can't articulate exactly just how frustrated I am.

Angela Aki - 'Kiss Me Good-Bye'

Album: Kiss Me Good-Bye

Realized today I've been thinking about that ticket to Welly as a singular noun: as in one-way.

Morcheeba - 'Otherwise'

Album: Charango
Brian: You are all individuals!

Crowd: YES, YES, WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS!

Brian: You are all different!

Crowd: YES, WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT!

Lone Voice: I'm not.

Person next to him: SHH!

From Life of Brian

Know what I feel like sometimes? The Lone Voice.

Massive Attack - 'Karmacoma'

Album: Karmacoma (Single)

This morning's logic:
Sun in Welly - made me happy; sun in Thailand - a little irritating, but it didn't make me too unhappy; sun in Singapore - makes my life a fucking wretched misery.

Conclusion: it's not the sun, it's Singapore.

Martina Topley-Bird - 'Ilya'

Album: Quixotic

Walking home, I thought:
Give me one day to arrange for a ticket and accomodations, then I'll fly off to Welly. I suppose I could bunk with a friend, or there's this pretty nice upmarket backpackers' just next to the City Library. I'll spend my day sitting in on lectures in Kelburn, or in the school library, or the City Library; if the weather's good, take a walk along the harbor and down Oriental Bay. Maybe I'll even take the cable car up to Kelburn or the Botanic Garden, just for the hell of it.
Dream vacation for me, that.
